Terms of service

Subbie World Corp ("Subbie," "we," "our," or "us") provides the Subbie mobile application and related services (collectively, the "Service"). By downloading, accessing, or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not use the Service.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or using the Service, you confirm that you:

  • Are at least 13 years of age

  • Have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement

  • Are not prohibited from using the Service under applicable law

  • Accept and agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy

2. Description of the Service

Subbie is a personal finance application that helps you:

  • Track subscriptions, bills, loans, and recurring expenses

  • Connect bank accounts via Plaid to sync transactions

  • Monitor payment history and balances

  • Receive insights and suggestions related to your finances

  • Use AI-powered voice input to add expenses by speaking naturally (SubbieAI)

The Service is provided for personal, non-commercial use only. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time with or without notice.

3. Account Registration and Security

To use certain features, you must create an account. You may sign in using Sign in with Apple or other supported methods. You agree to:

  • Provide accurate and complete information

  • Maintain the security of your account credentials

  • Notify us promptly of any unauthorized access

You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. Subbie is not liable for any loss or damage arising from unauthorized use of your account.

4. Bank Connections (Plaid)

The Service uses Plaid Inc. to connect your financial institutions. By connecting an account, you:

  • Authorize Plaid to access and retrieve account and transaction data on your behalf

  • Acknowledge that your use of Plaid is subject to Plaid's End User Privacy Policy

  • Understand that we do not store your bank login credentials; connections are managed securely through Plaid

We are not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or timeliness of data provided by your financial institution or Plaid. Transaction data may be delayed or incomplete.

5. Subscriptions and Payments

5.1 Premium Subscription

Subbie may offer premium features through a paid subscription. Subscription terms are governed by:

  • Apple's App Store Terms and Conditions (for iOS subscriptions)

  • RevenueCat (our subscription management provider)

5.2 Billing

  • Payments are processed through your Apple ID

  • Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period

  • You can manage or cancel subscriptions in your device's Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions

5.3 Refunds

Refund requests are handled by Apple. Subbie cannot issue refunds directly. To request a refund, visit Apple's Report a Problem.

5.4 Price Changes

We may change subscription prices with reasonable notice. Price changes apply to subsequent billing periods. Continued use after a price change constitutes acceptance.

6. User Obligations

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any illegal purpose or in violation of any law

  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service, other accounts, or our systems

  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the Service

  • Use the Service to harm, harass, or defraud others

  • Share your account or allow others to use it

  • Use automated means (bots, scrapers) to access the Service without our permission

We may suspend or terminate your account for violation of these obligations.

7. Not Financial Advice

A. AI-Powered Features

Accuracy Disclaimer SubbieAI uses artificial intelligence to interpret voice input and categorize expenses. AI-generated results may contain errors. You are responsible for reviewing and correcting any transactions created through AI features before relying on them for financial decisions.

Not Financial Advice AI features do not provide financial advice, tax guidance, or investment recommendations. Outputs are organizational aids only.

Availability AI features depend on third-party services (Apple Speech Recognition, OpenRouter) and may be unavailable due to outages, rate limits, or changes to those services. We do not guarantee uptime for AI features.

Usage Limits We may impose rate limits on AI features to ensure fair access and manage costs. Excessive use may result in temporary throttling.

Acceptable Use You agree not to use AI features to process content that is illegal, harmful, or violates the rights of others. We reserve the right to suspend access to AI features for abuse.

B. The Service is for informational and organizational purposes only.

Subbie does not provide financial, investment, tax, or legal advice; recommendations to buy, sell, or hold any financial product; or guarantees regarding the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of any data.

You should consult qualified professionals for financial, tax, or legal decisions. Use of the Service is at your sole risk. We are not liable for any financial decisions you make based on information in the app.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components. Data from financial institutions or third-party services may be delayed, incomplete, or inaccurate.

9. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW:

  • SUBBIE AND ITS OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL

  • OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIMS ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO THE SERVICE SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO US IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM, OR ONE HUNDRED U.S. DOLLARS ($100), WHICHEVER IS GREATER

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so some of the above may not apply to you.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Subbie World Corp, its affiliates, officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from:

  • Your use of the Service

  • Your violation of these Terms

  • Your violation of any third-party rights

  • Any content or data you provide

11. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its design, features, text, graphics, logos, and software, is owned by Subbie World Corp or its licensors and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works without our prior written consent.

12. Data and Privacy

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy. By using the Service, you consent to the collection and use of information as described in the Privacy Policy.

13. Termination

13.1 By You

You may stop using the Service at any time. To delete your account and associated data, contact us at hello@subbie.world.

13.2 By Us

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service, with or without notice, for any reason, including violation of these Terms.

13.3 Effect of Termination

Upon termination:

  • Your right to use the Service ceases immediately

  • Subscription fees are non-refundable

  • Provisions that by their nature should survive (e.g., Limitation of Liability, Indemnification) will survive

14. Changes to the Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated Terms in the app or on our website and updating the "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

If you do not agree to the updated Terms, you must stop using the Service and may request account deletion.

15. Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles. Subbie World Corp was formed on December 02, 2025 in New York City, New York. Any disputes arising from these Terms or the Service shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in New York County, New York, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction of such courts.

16. General

  • Entire Agreement: These Terms and the Privacy Policy constitute the entire agreement between you and Subbie regarding the Service.

  • Severability: If any provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect.

  • Waiver: Our failure to enforce any right or provision is not a waiver of that right or provision.

  • Assignment: You may not assign these Terms. We may assign our rights and obligations without restriction.
